At the ultrasound, the doctor checked and measured pretty much every little part of her and said that all looks well. She seemed to be measuring right on schedule and everything was developed and healthy. Such a happy thing for moms and dads to hear! He copied the whole ultrasound onto a DVD for us (which we promptly showed both sets of grandparents and my little bros, who are extremely excited about being uncles!) He also printed a bunch of still shots.
Yes, we did call the baby The Hulk. Here's the story. It started because I don't like saying "it" when I was talking about our little one. It just sounded weird to me. But saying "he or she" was getting annoying too. I've been feeling the baby for a while (so maybe only a few weeks, but it seems like a while!) Doxey felt The Hulk kick for the first time last week. He was a little weirded out but happy at the same time. A day or two after he felt the kick I read that the dad's don't usually get to feel the baby kick from the outside for a few more weeks. Our little Hulk is strong. Plus, we think she drew her strength from her Daddy poking at her until she got mad and started kicking back! I'll be honest, I'll still probably call her The Hulk for the next little while. At least now we know that it is accompanied by "she" and "her."
